(야고보서 1:12-18) 인생의 모든 시험은 존재의 목적을 모르기 때문

많은 사람들은 살면서 겪는 어려운 일들을 자기 외부의 요인에 의한 것이라고 생각합니다. 그래서 시험을 받고, 유혹을 받을 때에 ‘하나님께서 시험하신다.’고 합니다. 이것은 성경에 분명히 그런 것이 아니라고 말씀하고 있음에도 신앙인들의 마음 깊숙이 자리하고 있습니다. 이에 대하여 야고보 사도는 분명하게 하나님께서는 아무도 시험하지 않으신다고 하고 있습니다. 그러니 형제들은 속지 말라고 분명하게 권고하고 있습니다.

사람들은 대학입시나 취업이나 결혼과 같은 선택의 문제나 또 어려움에 직면하면 ‘하나님의 뜻’을 찾습니다. 어떤 선택을 통하여 그 당면한 과제를 벗어나야하기 때문입니다. 그때 사람들은 어떤 선택은 하나님의 뜻이고 다른 하나는 아닐 것이라고 가정합니다. 만약 어느 것이라도 다 하나님께서 도우시는 것이라면 그 선택의 순간에 하나님께 기도할 이유가 없을 것이기 때문입니다. 때로는 심지어 기도 잘하는 사람한테 가서 기도를 부탁하기도 합니다. 경악할 일입니다. 그것은 무당을 찾는 것과 같은 것이기 때문입니다.

사람들이 그런 마음을 가지고 있는 이유는 의외의 이유입니다. 하나님을 행위의 공로와 소유의 드림을 원하시는 하나님으로 믿기 때문입니다. 즉 삶의 본질을 눈에 보이는 것과 나타난 것으로 여기기 때문입니다. 하지만 우리 인생들의 본질은 나타나고 보이는 것에 있는 것이 아닙니다. 즉 선택의 갈등에 있어 본질은 ‘눈에 보이는 어느 것을 선택해야 하나님의 의에 이를 수 있느냐?’가 아니라는 것입니다. 본질은 그런 것을 선택의 문제로, 그 눈에 보이는 것 중 어느 하나가 하나님의 계획이라고 보기 때문인 것입니다.

믿음으로 모든 세계가 하나님의 말씀으로 지어진 줄을 우리가 아나니 보이는 것은 나타난 것으로 말미암아 된 것이 아니니라(히 11:3)

사람들이 가진 일반적인 관점으로 보면 사람이 당하는 어려움은 하나님의 시험이 됩니다. 하나님께서 우리에게 어떤 선택의 문제를 주시고 어떤 것을 선택하면 하나님을 위한 것이고, 어떤 것을 선택하면 자신을 위하고 세상을 위한 것이라고 여긴다는 것입니다. 하지만 그것은 아주 본질적인 오류입니다. 하나님께서 우리의 행동을 감찰하시고 시험하시는 것이 되기 때문입니다. 하나님은 우리의 생각과 행동과 삶의 모습 그 자체를 감찰하시거나 경영하시는 분이 아니라는 것입니다.

그런데 사람들이 살아가면서 많은 갈등들을 겪게 되고, 그 갈등들 중에서 어떤 것들을 하나님의 시험으로 여기는 것은 먼저 무엇이 본질인지 알지 못하기 때문이고, 다음으로는 존재하는 것-그것이 일이건 물질이든-의 존재 목적을 알지 못하기 때문입니다. 그리고 무엇을 알지 못한다는 것은 어둡다는 것, 곧 빛이 없기 때문입니다.

사람들도 처음 보는 물건을 보면 ‘이것이 어디에 쓰는 물건인가?’라는 의문을 가집니다. 그것은 그 물건의 존재 목적을 모른다는 것입니다. 왜 존재하는지를 모르니 어떻게 사용하는지를 모르는 것입니다. 부시맨의 콜라병과 같이. 이와 같이 사람들이 자기 삶에서 겪는 일들의 본질을 알지 못하니 그것에 대하여 하나님의 뜻을 구하고, 때로 그것을 하나님의 시험으로 여긴다는 것입니다.

그러므로 삶의 어떤 조각들을 하나님의 시험으로, 또 올바른 결정을 해야만 자기가 바라는 대로 이 세상에서 하나님의 축복을 받는 것이라고 생각하는 것은 인생의 존재 목적을 모르는 것입니다. 인생의 존재목적을 알면 세상의 존재 목적도 알 것입니다. 사람이나 세상이나 다 하나님께서 지으신 것이니 그 목적은 같은 뿌리에 있기 때문입니다. 물론 그것은 하나님의 영광(나타남)을 위한 것입니다.

하나님께서는 세상의 모든 것을 사람들에게 다스리라고 하셨습니다. 그런데 사람들이 눈에 보이는 것을 본질로 보다보니 이 말씀을 치산치수의 개념으로 봅니다. 그리고 하나님을 믿는 사람이 세상을 다스리는 것이라 여깁니다.(하나님의 의로 세상을 다스리는 것이 아니라, 하나님을 믿어 세상에서 복 받겠다는 사람들이 세상을 다스려야 한다고 생각한다는 것) 이 모든 것은 다 ‘빛’이 없기 때문입니다.

그래서 야고보 사도는 하나님이 빛이심을 말씀하십니다. 좋은 은사와 온전한 선물은 다 위에서 온다는 것입니다. 즉 하늘에서 온다는 것입니다. 하늘은 땅의 모든 것에 대한 의를 가진 곳입니다. 땅이 사람이니 하늘은 곧 하나님인 것입니다. 다시 말해서 세상의 모든 이치, 존재의 목적과 의미는 다 하나님께 있다는 것입니다. 그 하나님의 온전한 밝음은 그림자조차 없다는 것입니다. 

다시 말해서 하나님의 의를 바로 안다면 인생에서 알지 못할 것은 없다는 말씀인 것입니다. 그러니 무엇을 몰라서 갈등하는 순간을 하나님께 시험 받는다고 하지 말라는 것입니다. 왜냐하면 그것은 하나님께서 시험하시는 것이 아니라, 하나님과 다른 의를 가진 자기 기준에 이하여 욕심이 생겨서 어두워진 탓에 스스로 시험을 당하는 것이기 때문입니다.

야고보 사도는 하나님이 시험을 하시지 않는다는 것은 결국 하나님께서 우리를 낳았기 때문이라고 하셨습니다. 어두움 아니 자기 그림자도 없는 온전한 밝음을 가진 하나님께서 우리를 낳았다는 것입니다. 그것은 하나님의 본성이 자기 안에 있으면 모든 것이 분명하고 밝아질 것이라는 말씀입니다. 바울 사도도 이와 같은 말씀을 하였습니다.

이는 너희가 흠이 없고 순전하여 어그러지고 거스르는 세대 가운데서 하나님의 흠 없는 자녀로 세상에서 그들 가운데 빛들로 나타내며(빌 2:15)

이 모든 것을 모아 놓고 볼 때, 우리 사람의 존재 목적은 하나님께서 가지고 계십니다. 존재의 목적을 안다는 것은 갈등과 시험을 겪지 않는 것입니다. 우리가 사용하는 물건 중에 그 존재 목적을 분명하게 아는 것에 대하여는 사용법의 갈등이나 심지어 도덕적 갈등조차 겪지 않는 것과 같습니다. 

그러므로 우리가 하나님께서 자신을 만든 목적을 알면 육신이 살아가면서 겪는 모든 일에 대하여 밝아질 것입니다. 그 밝음 안에는 갈등도 시험도 없다는 것입니다. 이는 결국 유리 육신을 어떻게 사용할 것인가 하는 문제와도 연결되어 있고, 야고보 사도는 이것에 대하여도 야고보서에 말씀을 하고 있습니다.

그 밝음이 없을 때, 즉 하나님께서 우리의 삶을 지으신 목적을 모르면, 자기 기준으로 살게 되고, 그 기준이 욕심을 그리고 죄와 사망을 낳는다는 것입니다. 그러므로 우리가 시험을 당하는 것은 결국 하나님께서 가지신 우리 존재의 목적을 알지 못하기 때문에 당하는 것이지 하나님께서 시험을 하시는 것은 아닌 것입니다.

But the nature of our lives is not something that is visible and visible. The essence is that it is a matter of choice, because one of the things that is visible is God's plan.

By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. (Hebrews 11: 3)

From a general point of view, the difficulty of a person is the test of God. God gives us the problem of choice, chooses what is for God, and chooses something for ourselves and for the world. But it is a very essential error. It is because God observes and tests our actions. God is not the one who inspects or manages our thoughts, actions, and life itself.

However, as people live, many conflicts are experienced, and some of those conflicts are regarded as the test of God because they do not know what is the nature of the first thing, and then the purpose of existence-whether it is work or matter- I do not know. And what does not know is that it is dark, there is no light.

When people look at the things they see for the first time, they have the question, "What is this used for?" It means that they do not know the object's purpose. I do not know why, so I do not know how to use it. Like the coke bottle of Bushman. In this way, people do not know the nature of the things they experience in their lives, seeking God's will for it, and sometimes seeing it as a test of God.

Therefore, to think that certain pieces of life are the test of God and that God's blessings are received in this world as they desire to make the right decision, they do not know the purpose of life's existence. Knowing the purpose of life's existence will know the purpose of existence of the world. All things, whether man or the world, are made by God, whose purpose is in the same root. Of course it is for the glory of God.

God told us to rule over everything in the world. By the way, when people see what they see in their essence, I see this word as a concept of dimming dimensions. And I think that the person who believes in God is the ruler of the world. (It is not to be ruled by God's righteousness, but to think that people who believe in God and bless the world must rule the world) because of.

So the Apostle James tells us that God is the light. Good gifts and perfect gifts are all from above. That is, it comes from heaven. Heaven is the place of righteousness for all things on earth. The earth is man, and heaven is God. In other words, all the principles of the world, the purpose and meaning of existence are all in God. The full brightness of God is that there is no shadow.

In other words, if you know the righteousness of God rightly, there is nothing you do not know in your life. So, do not say that you do not know what you are trying to confront and you are tempted by God. It is because it is not tested by God but is tested by himself because he is greedy and dark in his own standards of God and other righteousness.

The Apostle James said that God did not test because it was because God had begotten us. God, who has full brightness without darkness and no shadow, gave birth to us. It means that if God's nature is in him, everything will be clear and bright. Paul also said this.

that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,  (Philippians 2:15)

When we look at all these things together, God has the purpose of our existence. Knowing the purpose of being is not experiencing conflict and temptation. It is as if we do not experience conflicts of usage or even moral conflicts when we know clearly the purpose of its existence.

Therefore, if we know the purpose God has created for us, we will be open to all the things that the body experiences as we live. In that light, there is no conflict or test. This is also connected to the question of how to use the free body, and the apostle James spoke about it in James.

When there is no light, that is, when God does not know the purpose of our life, we live on our own standards, and the standard is greed and sin and death. Therefore, we are tempted because we do not know the purpose of our existence that God has in the end, and God is not testing.
