사사가 있어 평안한 시절

우리는 흔히 ‘사사’라고 하면 이스라엘 백성들이 하나님 앞에서 악을 행하므로 이방민족이 쳐들어와서 괴롭힐 때에 그 이방 민족과 전쟁하여 싸워 이긴 지도자로서 한정하여 생각하는 경향이 있습니다. 하지만 사사의 주된 일은 재판하는 것이었습니다. 하나님의 의가 임하여서 백성들 사이에서 일어나는 일을 재판했다는 것입니다.

사사가 심판하고 있는 동안, 사사가 통치하는 동안에는 이방인의 침입이 없었다고 말씀하고 있는데, 이는 하나님의 신이 임한 사람의 결정대로 이스라엘 백성들이 따르고 살면 갈등과 괴로움이 없었다는 것을 말씀하시는 것입니다. 즉 사람이 살아가면서 선택하고 결정하는 것을 하나님의 의에 따라 순종하면 갈등과 곤고함이 없다는 것을 말씀하시는 것입니다.

이른바 삼갈과 같은 소사사들, 특별히 범죄와 곤고함 승리의 구조가 다 갖추어지지 않은 사사들의 이야기도 한 줄이라도 적어 놓으신 것은 바로 그런 의미라고 할 수 있습니다. 사사는 재판관인데 재판관이 있었다는 것은 백성들이 재판관으로 인정하는 사람이 있었다는 것이고, 그것은 그 재판관의 판결에 순종했다는 것입니다. 순종하지 않고 재판관으로 인정하지 않는데 사사가 존재했다고 할 수는 없는 것이기 때문입니다.

사사는 하나님의 신이 임하여 백성들을 다스린 사람이라고 말씀하고 있습니다. 그 사사가 있을 때는 평안했습니다. 그러나 역설적으로 생각해보면 사사가 있었다는 것은 그것이 무엇이든 재판하고 판단해야 할 일들이 있었다는 것입니다. 그런 일이 없는데 사사가 있어야 할 이유는 없기 때문입니다. 그러므로 사사가 있었다는 것은 백성들이 그 삶의 일들을 하나님의 의에 따라 살아가는 것에 순종하고 있었다는 것을 말씀하시는 것입니다.

이는 오늘 우리의 삶에도 같은 의미가 있습니다. 그 의미가 우리가 사사기를 읽는 이유라고 할 수 있는 것입니다. 우리는 하나님을 믿으면 걱정거리가 전혀 없는 삶이 된다고 생각하기도 합니다. 다시 말해서 결정할 일도 갈등할 일도 전혀 없는 것이 하나님을 믿는 세계라고 생각하기도 한다는 것입니다. 하지만 그것이 아닙니다. 인생은 매일 결정하고 갈등하고 또 육신이기에 연약해서 곤고함도 겪습니다. 

하나님을 믿는 것은 사사도 필요 없는 세상이 되듯 하는 것이 아닙니다. 반대로 사사 곧 재판하는 사람이 있어야 하는 것입니다. 우리 인생의 모든 일들이 상상하듯이 다 해결되는 것이 하나님의 의와 생명으로 사는 것이 아니라는 것입니다. 인생의 다양한 일들은 여상하지만 그것이 하나님의 신이 임한 사사의 결정에 따라 순종하듯 육신이기에 겪는 모든 일이 하나님의 의에 의하여 다스려지고 결정하고 무엇보다 인정되고 활용되는 것이 온전한 삶이라는 것입니다.

사사가 있을 때는 평안했다고 말씀하고 계신 것은 인생에서 판단할 일 조차 없어진다는 것이 아니라, 인생은 여상한데 그것이 하나님의 의로 다스림을 받는다면 사사가 다스리는 평안의 세월이 되는 것이고 그것이 아니라면 이방인의 침략 곧 세상의 가치관과 씨름하느라 곤고한 삶을 살게 될 것이라는 것입니다.

Judge says that the God of God came and ruled over the people. When the judge was there, he was at ease. But paradoxically, judging was that there was something to judge and judge whatever it was. It has the same meaning in our lives today. That's why we read Judges. We believe that if we believe in God, we have no worries. In other words, there is nothing to decide and no conflict at all. But it is not. Life is determined and conflicted every day, and it is also weak because it is physical.

Believing in God is not like a world without judges. On the contrary, there must be a judge and a judge. It is not living as the righteousness and the life of God that all the things in our lives seem to be solved. The various things of life are unbelievable, but as it is according to the judgment of the judge of the god of God, it is the whole life to be judged by the righteousness of God, to be determined,

If you say that you have peace with Judge, it is not that you lose your life to judge, but that life is sorrowful. If it is governed by God's righteousness, it will be the time of peace that Judge reigns. It means that you will live a hard life because you are struggling with your values.
