그런데 마리아는 (태연한 듯) 하인들에게 예수님께서 무슨 말을 하든지 그대로 하라고 지시합니다. 이 말은 여러 가지를 추측하게 합니다. 마리아가 결혼식의 일에 참견할 수 있는 위치, 곧 예수님과 마리아가 이 결혼식과 연관이 있는 사람이라는 것이 있고, 그보다 더 눈에 띄는 것은 이미 이전에도 예수님께서 이런 기적을 일으키는 것을 마리아가 보았거나, 예수님이라면 이 상황을 해결할 수 있다는 확신을 가질만한 경험이 이미 있었다고 할 수 있다는 것입니다.

그런데 요한 사도는 결혼식에서 물로 포도주를 만든 이 사건이 첫 번째 이적이라고 못을 박고 있습니다. 그렇다면 마리아는 어떻게 예수님이 이 문제를 해결 할 수 있다고 생각했을까요? 다시 말해서 마리아는 예수님께서 사람으로서는 할 수 없는 일을 할 것이라고 믿었느냐는 것입니다.

사람들은 예수님의 말씀이 제자들과 또 예수님을 신뢰한 사람들에게 역사하는 성경을 말씀을 보고서 ‘즉시’이루어지는 것이라고 쉽게 생각합니다. 예를 들어 제자들을 부르실 때에 ‘나를 따라 오너라’고 하신 말씀에 제자들이 그 한 문장을 듣고서 바로 따라 갔다고 생각하는 것이 그것입니다.

하지만 그렇지 않습니다. 예수님의 제자들은 예수님께서 나사렛에서, 또 갈릴리 인근에서 살아가는 모습을 다 보고 들은 사람들입니다. 그들에게 예수님께서 ‘나를 따라 오라’라는 말씀은 방아쇠를 당긴 것과 같은 것입니다. 이미 그 마음에는 예수님과 함께 하고 싶은 마음이 있을 때 예수님께서 말씀하시니 따라 나선 것입니다.

많은 사람들이 예수님을 믿고 구원을 받고 또 성경대로 살게 되는 것을 간단한 것으로 생각합니다. 전도하는 사람은 말로만 전도하면 되는 것이라고 생각하고, 권면하는 사람도 그냥 말로 책망합니다. 그리고 그것을 ‘사랑’이라 포장하기도 합니다.

길거리에서 전도하는 사람들도 마찬가지입니다. 그들이 전도하는 것은 큰 용기가 필요한 것이지만 그들의 말이 효과적이지 못한 것은 많은 사람들이 하나님을 믿는 사람에 대한 회의적인 인식을 가질 만한 사건들이 그 반대의 사건들보다 심히 많았기 때문에 사람들이 단순하게 ‘예수 천당, 불신 지옥’이란 구호만 가지고 예수를 믿을 수 없다는 것입니다.

이는 예수님 당시에도 비슷했습니다. 예수님께서 비유로 곳곳에서 선지자라, 메시아라 주장하는 사람들이 나올 것이라고 하신 것도 마찬가지입니다. 

예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 너희가 사람의 미혹을 받지 않도록 주의하라(마 24:4)

문제는 그 주장을 들었을 때 들은 사람 마음에 동의가 될 수 있는 것이 있느냐의 문제입니다. 그것이 없다면 아무 것도 아닙니다. 그렇기에 예수님을 따라 나서려면 그 마음에 엄청난 세월과 생각의 변화와 갈증이 있는 중에 예수님의 말씀을 듣고 그것이 자기 안에서 수 없는 되새김을 거쳐서 마음으로 동의가 되었을 때에 ‘나를 따르라’는 말씀에 따르는 행동이 나올 수 있는 것입니다.

바로 그 때가 <예수님의 때(time)>입니다. 어떤 사람이라도 예수님의 때가 차지 않으면 그리스도의 성품으로 살아갈 수 없습니다. 예수님의 때가 이르지 않았다는 것은 예수님께서 준비가 덜 되었다는 것이 아니라, 예수님을 받아들이는 사람이 예수님께 순종하고 동의할 때가 아직 이르지 않았다는 것입니다.

그러면 어떻게 해야 예수님의 때가 이를 수 있을까? 다시 말해서 사람 안에서 예수님이 물과 같은 말씀이 포도주와 같이 그리스도의 성품을 설명하듯 내어 놓는 사람이 될 수 있을까? 그것이 된다는 것이 바로 예수님의 때가 이른 것이라는 것이며, 그 때가 언제인가 하는 것입니다.

이것이 바로 물이 항아리에 찰 때까지입니다. 물이 항아리에 가득 찬다는 것은 사람 안에 말씀이 가득 채워진다는 것입니다. 사람은 빈 그릇입니다. 그것도 흙으로 만들어진 그릇입니다. 사람은 뭔가를 자기 안에 늘 채우는 존재인 것이 그것입니다. 그 안에 무엇을 채울 것인가? 그것은 다름이 아니라 하나님의 말씀을 채우는 것입니다. 하나님의 말씀이 사람 안에 가득차면 그 사람에게서 나오는 것이 포도주가 된다는 것입니다. 즉 그리스도의 성품이 된다는 것입니다.

사람들이 예수를 믿으면서 늘 하는 말이 예수님 같은 삶을 살기 원한다는 것입니다. 그래서 성경을 보고 어떻게 해야 하는지 궁리 많이 합니다. 심지어 그것이 학문이 되었습니다. 신학이라고. 하지만 의외로 방법은 간단합니다. 하나님의 말씀을 채우는 것입니다. 말씀이 자기 안에 계속 차고, 그것을 되새김질 하면 어느 순간 그 사람에게서 나오는 것이 포도주와 같아지는 것입니다. 즉 예수님과 같은 삶을 살게 된다는 것입니다.

마리아가 하인들을 불러서 예수님이 하시는 말씀 그대로 하라고 했을 때 예수님께서는 마리아에게 ‘아직 때가 안 되었다는데 왜 자꾸 그러냐?’는 반문을 하지 않습니다. 그냥 “항아리에 물을 채우라”는 말씀만 하십니다. 그렇다는 것은 그것이 바로 예수님의 때가 되는 것이라는 것입니다. 항아리 곧 사람 안에 물 즉 하나님의 말씀을 채우기만 하면 되는 것입니다. 

예수님의 말씀을 들은 하인들이 예수님의 말씀대로 순종하는 것이 바로 말씀을 채우는 것입니다. 물을 채우라고 하니 물을 채우는 하인들은 물을 채우라는 말씀이 차 있는 것입니다. 그것이 아니라면 자기 상전도 아닌 손님의 말을 듣고 누가 노동을 하겠습니까? 마리아는 예수님 안에 포도주와 같은 능력이 있음을 알았고, 하인들은 자기 주인도 아닌 이의 말씀대로 했습니다. 그것이 순종이고 예수님의 때가 이르는 법이라면 법인 것입니다.

이것은 오늘 우리에게도 마찬가지입니다. 교회에 좀 다녔다고 하면 이 가나의 혼인잔치의 이적을 모르는 사람은 없을 것입니다. 이 말씀을 읽고서 물로 포도주를 만드는 예수님을 믿으면 종이가 돈이 될 것이라 믿는 것이 믿음이라고 하면 우스운 것입니다. 그리고 또 물이 어떻게 하면 포도주가 될 수 있다는 것을 과학적으로 증명하는 것은 더 웃기는 것입니다. 그것은 믿음도 아니고 예수님과 같이 되는 것도 아닙니다.

예수님과 같이 되려면, 예수님의 성품을 가진 삶을 살고자 한다면 그 방법은 단 하가지입니다. “예수께서 뭐라고 하시든 그대로 하는 것”, 그것뿐입니다. 문제는 여기서 예수님의 말씀을 행위 규범으로 본다는 것입니다. 예수님의 말씀대로 하는 것은 예수님의 말씀이 자기 안에서 동의가 되어 예수님의 때가 이를 때까지 말씀을 듣는 것입니다.

For example, when you call your disciples, you say, "Come with me," and that your disciples heard the sentence and followed it immediately.

But it is not. The disciples of Jesus are the people that they saw and heard about Jesus living in Nazareth and near Galilee. To them, Jesus said, 'Come follow me' is like pulling the trigger. It is already in his heart that when Jesus had said that he wanted to be with Jesus, he followed Him.

I think it is simple for many people to believe in Jesus, be saved, and live the Bible. He who believes in evangelism is only to speak by word; And it is wrapped in 'love'.

The same is true of those who preach on the streets. It is a great courage for them to evangelize, but their speech is not effective because the events that many people would have skeptical perceptions of those who believe in God were more numerous than the opposite events, It is that you can not believe in Jesus with only the relief of 'disbelief hell'.

It was similar at the time of Jesus. It is also true that Jesus said in a parable that prophets, messiahs, would come out.

 And Jesus answered and said to them： "Take heed that no one deceives you. (Matthew 24: 4).

The problem is whether there is something that can be agreed to the mind of the person who heard it. If it is not, it is nothing. How then can the time of Jesus come? In other words, can a person like Jesus in a person speak like water like wine, as if to explain the character of Christ? That is to say that Jesus' time is early and when is the time.

This is until the water is in the jar. The fact that the water is full of jars means that people are filled with the Word. Man is an empty bowl. It is also made of clay bowl. A person is a being who always fills something in itself. What will be filled in it? It is not different, but filling the Word of God. If the Word of God is filled in man, what comes out of him is wine. That is, being a character of Christ.

What people always say when they believe in Jesus wants to live a life like Jesus. So I look at the Bible and wonder how to do it. Even it has become a discipline. Theology. But surprisingly the method is simple. It is filling the word of God. When the Word keeps on being in it, and when it is rebuked, at any moment it comes out of the person is like wine. In other words, you will live a life like Jesus.

When Mary called the servants and told them to do what Jesus was saying, Jesus did not ask Mary, "Why is it that time has not come yet?" Just say "fill the jar with water." That is to say, that is the time of Jesus. It is only necessary to fill the jar, the water of God, that is, water in man.

It is the servants who hear the words of Jesus obey the words of Jesus and fill the Word. I told them to fill the water, and the servants who fill the water are told to fill the water. If not, who is going to work after listening to the guest who is not his master? Mary knew that Jesus had the power of wine, and the servants followed her, not her master. If it is obedience and the time of Jesus is the law, it is corporation.

This is the same for us today. If you go to church, you will not know the miracle of this wedding banquet of Ghana. It is ridiculous to say that believing that paper will be money if you believe in Jesus, who is reading this and making wine with water. And it is even more ridiculous to scientifically prove that water can become a wine. It is not faith or being like Jesus.

To be like Jesus, if you want to live a life with the character of Jesus, that is the only way. "That's what Jesus says," that's all. The problem here is that we see Jesus as the code of conduct. According to the words of Jesus, the word of Jesus is agreed in him, and he hears the words until the time of Jesus.

In doing so, the water becomes wine and Jesus' time comes. When we listen to the words, we hear the words of ourselves, and the time of Jesus, who is the life of Christ with the character of Christ, like Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
