(로마서 13:8-10) 사랑의 빚(debt)

바울 사도는 사람들이 속한 사회 안에 살면서 서로에게 사랑의 빚 외에는 아무런 빚도 지지 말라고 하고 있습니다. 많은 사람들이 성경 말씀을 문자 그대로 지키려고 하는데 그런 관점에서 본다면 기독교인들은 신용카드는 고사하고 후불 교통카드도 사용하면 안 될 것입니다. 그것도 다 빚이기 때문입니다. 그렇게 보면 사람들이 얼마나 자기 편리한 대로 예수를 믿고, 성경을 지키려 하는지 알 수 있습니다. 하지만 이 말씀은 그런 말씀이 아닙니다.

성경이 말하는 빚(debt)는 목적에 관한 빚입니다. 채무에 관한 것이 아닙니다. 하나님께서 사람에게 빚지지 않아야 한다고 말씀하실 것이라면 안식년이나 희년에 빚져서 종이 된 사람들에 대한 규례를 주신 것은 모순입니다. 성경이 말씀하시는 이 빚은 하나님께서 창조하신 목적에 대한 빚을 말씀하시는 것입니다.

이 빚은 이런 것입니다. 전구가 만들어져서 등에 꽂이기를 기다리고 있다면, 아직 꽂이지 않았다면 그 전구는 빚을 지고 있는 것입니다. 빛을 밝히기 위하여 만들어진 목적이 있는데 그 목적을 아직 수행하지 못하고 있기 때문입니다. 사람도 하나님께서 만드신 목적이 있는데 그 목적을 이루는 것이 사람이 가진 빚입니다. 그리고 자기 존재의 의미를 알게 하는 것이 가장 큰 사랑입니다. 

세상에는 예수님의 사랑보다 큰 사랑이 없다고 하는 것은 예수님으로 인하여 우리가 하나님 앞에서 어떤 존재의 의미를 가졌는지, 우리 삶의 의미와 목적이 무엇인지를 알게 되었기 때문입니다. 그러므로 사람이 어떤 이에게 그 존재의 목적과 삶의 의미를 알게 하고 그것으로 사는 것을 즐거워하게 하는 것 보다 큰 사랑이 없는 것입니다. 이것은 남녀 간의 사랑이나 친구 간의 사랑과 같은 것에도 동일한 의미를 가집니다. 많은 사람들 중에 세상적인 조건이나 목적 없이 서로에게 의미를 가진 사람, 그것이 사랑하는 연인이고 친구이기 때문입니다.

예수님께서 이 땅에 오셔서 우리 모두에게 베푸신 사랑이 바로 우리 삶의 목적과 의미를 알게 하신 것입니다. 이것이 성경이 말씀하시는 사랑입니다. 그리고 이것이 우리를 향한 하나님의 사랑입니다. 하나님께 우리가 의미가 있는 존재가 되었다는 것입니다. 하나님이 먼저 우리에게 우리의 의미를 부여하셨다는 것입니다. 그것이 우리 존재의 정체성인데, 그것을 알게 하는 것이 바로 사랑이라는 것입니다.

이 사랑이 우리에게 빚이 되는 것은 우리가 하나님께서 우리에게 매기신 존재 목적을 알고 살면 다른 사람들이 우리의 그 모습을 보고서 하나님의 성품을 알게 되고 그것이 또한 자신의 존재 목적이고 삶의 의미라는 것을 깨닫게 되기 때문입니다. 십자가에 달리신 예수님을 보고서 백부장이 또 사도와 오늘 우리가 우리 삶의 목적과 의미를 알게 된 것과 같은 것입니다.

따라서 바울 사도의 말씀과 같이 서로 사랑의 빚 이외에 다른 빚을 지지 말라는 것은 모든 사람에게 하나님께서 우리에게 주신 사랑을 나타내면서 살라는 말씀입니다. 다시 말해서 그리스도의 생명으로 살라는 것입니다. 다시 말해서 그리스도의 생명이 자기 본성이 된 사람이 되라는 것입니다. 그래서 서로 자기 안에 있는 하나님의 성품을 표현하고 그 표현된 하나님의 성품을 사랑하고 찬양하면서 살라는 것입니다. 이것이 사랑의 빚입니다. 

그래서 바울 사도가 이렇게 말씀하고 있는 것입니다.

피차 사랑의 빚 외에는 아무에게든지 아무 빚도 지지 말라 남을 사랑하는 자는 율법을 다 이루었느니라(롬 13:8)

서로가 하나님께서 부여하신 삶의 목적과 자기 존재의 의미를 알고 살면 그것이 사랑인데, 그것은 또한 우리에게 뜻하신 하나님의 모든 것이므로 그렇게 살면 모든 율법을 다 이룬 것이라고 말씀하시는 것입니다.

이는 율법이란 것이 행위 규범이 아니라는 말씀입니다. 다시 말해서 율법을 지키면 하나님의 말씀을 지키는 것이 아니라, 사람이 하나님께서 자신을 창조하신 그 목적을 알고 그대로 살 때 하나님의 성품이 드러나서 또 다른 사람이 그 모습을 보고 자신을 만드신 하나님의 의와 뜻을 이루게 된다는 것입니다. 율법은 사람이 하나님께서 자신을 만드신 목적을 알고 살 때 나타나고 보이는 삶의 모습일 뿐이고, 사랑은 하나님께서 사람에게 부여하신 관계의 의미를 알고 알게 하는 것이기 때문입니다.

바울 사도가 하시는 말씀은 채무관계에 대한 말씀이 아닙니다. 이것은 로마서 전체에 흐르고 있는 주제, 율법은 행위 규범이 아니라, 하나님께서 아무 값없이 우리를 택하시고 창조하시어 우리로 하여금 하나님의 성품을 표현하는 아들이 되게 하시는 우리에게 주신 은혜를 알면 삶으로 나타나는 삶의 모습이라는 것을 말씀하시는 것입니다. 

그러니 사람을 대할 때에 사랑의 빚 이외에, 할례가 있어야 한다거나, 성경을 읽어야 한다거나, 기도를 해야 한다거나, 유대인이어야 한다거나, 신학을 해야 한다거나, 사회적으로 교양이 있어야 한다거나 하지 말라는 것입니다. 그런 것이 있어서 하나님의 의에 이르는 것이 아니라는 것입니다. 그런 것으로 서로 빚을 지우지 말라는 것입니다. 그런 것이 있어야 하는 것처럼, 그것이 목적인 것처럼 말하지 말라는 것입니다. 그러한 것이 우리가 하나님께 부여받은 존재의 빚이 아니라는 것입니다.

오히려 하나님의 의가 자기 안에서 하나님의 성품을 표현하고, 사람에게 하나님과의 존재 의미를 깨닫게 하는 사랑이 있어 그것으로 사는 사람이 성경을 보고, 기도를 하며, 세상의 사람들이 그를 사랑할만한 삶을 살며, 그런 사람이 하나님의 말씀을 전하게 되는 것이라는 것입니다. 생명의 유전자가 그렇게 이끈다는 것입니다. 그것이 하나님께서 우리에게 주신 생명의 본성이라는 것입니다. 그것이 사랑이고, 그것이 율법인 것입니다.

(Romans 13:8-10) Debt of Love

The debt that the Bible says is debt to purpose. It is not about debt. It is a contradiction to give a statute for those who are slaves of sabbaths or jubilees if they are to say that God ought not to be owed to man. This debt, which the Bible speaks, is the debt of God's purpose.

This debt is like this. If a light bulb is made and waiting to be put on the back, the light bulb is owed if it is not already in place. There is purpose that is made to light, because it does not yet carry out purpose. Man has the purpose God has made, and it is man's debt that fulfills its purpose. And it is the greatest love to know the meaning of self existence.

Because the world does not have a greater love than Jesus' love, it is because of Jesus that we have come to know what meaning of existence we have before God and what meaning and purpose of our life is. Therefore, there is no greater love than to let a person know the purpose of his existence and the meaning of life and rejoice to live with it. It has the same meaning as love between men and women, love between friends. Among many people, it is a person who has meaning to each other without a world condition or purpose, a lover whom he loves, and a friend.

Jesus came to this earth, and the love he gave to all of us made us realize the purpose and meaning of our life. This is the Bible's love. And this is God's love for us. It means that we have become meaningful to God. God first gave us our meaning. It is the identity of our being, and it is love that makes it known.

This love is owed to us because if we live knowing the purpose God has given us, we will see others in our lives, knowing God's character and knowing that it is also our goal of existence and the meaning of life This is because. When we see Jesus on the cross, the centurion is like the apostle and we know the purpose and meaning of our life today.

Therefore, as Paul's apostle says, not to have any debt other than the debt of love is to say to all people that the love that God has given us is living. In other words, to live as the life of Christ. In other words, the life of Christ is to become a person of his own nature. That is why they express God's character in each other and live in love and praise of the expressed character of God. This is the debt of love.

So the Apostle Paul said:

Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. (Romans 13: 8)

It is love, when we know each other's purpose of God's life and the meaning of our being, and it is also all that God has meant to us, so that if we live, we will have fulfilled all the laws.

It is the law that the law is not the norm. In other words, not keeping the word of God by keeping the law, but when a person knows the purpose God created for himself and when he lives as it is, the character of God is revealed, and the righteousness and the will of God, It will be accomplished. The law is only a manifestation of life that appears and appears when a person knows God's purpose for his or her creation, and love is to know and understand the meaning of the relationship God has given to man.

The words of the Apostle Paul are not about debt. This is the theme that flows throughout Romans. The law is not a code of conduct. If God knows the grace that He has given us for choosing and creating us and making us a son of God's character, You are saying that you are a figure.

So, in dealing with people, besides the debt of love, do not be circumcised, read the Bible, pray, do Jews, do theology, or be socially liberal. It is not that which leads to the righteousness of God. That is why you should not owe your debt to each other. Just as it should be, do not say it as though it was a goal. That is not the debt we owe to God.

Rather, the righteousness of God expresses the character of God in himself, and there is love that makes man realize the meaning of existence with God, so that those who live in it will see the Bible, pray, It is that such a person is to preach the word of God. That's why the genes of life are so. That is the nature of life that God has given us. It is love, and it is law.
