(로마서 12:14-21) 원수는 하나님의 진노하심에 맡기라

이제 로마서 12장에 대한 마지막 포스트입니다. 12장을 흔히들 ‘그리스도인의 새 생활’이라는 부제를 많이들 붙입니다. 그리스도인은 그렇게 산다는 것입니다. 그렇게 살아야 그리스도인이라는 것이 아닙니다. 이것은 하나님이 우리를 먼저 사랑하셨다고 하시는 것과 같이 아주 중요한 방향성입니다. 이 방향성과 다른 말씀은 하나님의 의도와 다른 말씀입니다.

우리는 이 로마서 12장에 나오는 많은 말씀들 중에 원수에 관한 것이 가장 어렵게 느껴집니다. 우애하고 존경하고 대접하는 것과 같은 것은 사실 성경이 아니라도 많이들 이야기 합니다. 물론 도덕시간에 이야기 하는 것은 방향성이 그렇게 해서 착한 사람이 된다는 방향을 가지고 있지만 성경은 그리스도의 의가 자기 안에서 생명이 되면 그렇게 살게 된다는 것을 말씀하시는 것입니다. 아니 그럴 수밖에 없습니다. 생명이 그런 것입니다. 개가 고양이 짓을 할 수 없는 것과 같습니다.

그러나 원수를 사랑하는 것은 참 어려운 말씀입니다. 차원이 다른 말씀 같습니다. 하지만 이것 역시 같은 것입니다. 그리스도의 의가 자기 생명이 되고, 그 생명이 육신을 가진 삶으로 나타나면 원수를 사랑하게 된다는 것입니다. 아니 이것도 사랑할 수밖에 없는 것입니다. 왜냐하면 여기서 말씀하시는 원수는 하나님과 원수가 된 것입니다. 그러나 하나님과 원수가 된 사람들은 역설적으로 예수님을 통하여 전한 복음을 수용하고 구원받아야 할 대상이기 때문입니다.

그러므로 사람이 그리스도의 생명으로 살면, 자기 십자가를 지고 예수님을 따라가게 되고, 예수님을 따라간다는 것은 하나님과 원수가 된 생각을 가진 자들의 의 앞에서 죄인이 되어 수고하므로 그 원수가 된 자들이 그 모습을 보고 하나님의 성품을 발견하게 되는 것이기 때문입니다. 이것이 예수님의 십자가고 원수를 사랑하는 것입니다. 

앞에서 말씀드린 것과 같이 성경이 말씀하시는 원수는 하나님의 의와 뜻에 반하는 생각을 가진 존재를 말하는 것입니다. 하나님께서는 사람을 만드시고 보시기에 심히 좋았다고 하셨는데 사람이 그 육신을 가진 인생을 부족하고 연약하고 죄악된 것으로 보는 것도 하나님과 원수가 되는 생각입니다. (인생이 죄인인 것은 그렇게 하나님과 원수가 된 생각을 가지고 있기 때문이지 인생의 연약함이 죄가 아닙니다.)

사람이 그렇게 하나님과 의에 대한 기준과 생각이 다르면 나타나는 것이 바로 십자가입니다. 그래서 십자가가 구원인 것입니다. 하나님과 사람(예수님 당시 유대인)이 예수님을 보는 기준과 생각이 달랐고 그것이 서로 마주하게 될 때 십자가가 필요하게 된 것입니다. 유대인들에게는 하나님을 모욕하는 예수님을 처형하기 위해서 십자가가 필요했고, 하나님과 예수님께서는 원수를 사랑하시기 위하여 십자가가 필요했던 것입니다.

그것은 오늘도 같습니다. 오늘도 사람들은 사람이 그리스도가 될 수 있다고 하면 ‘안 된다’고 합니다. 아니 그럴 수 없다고 합니다. 사람은 그리스도가 되기 위하여 창조된 존재인데 그리스도가 되지 못할 것면 존재의 이유조차 없는데, 그것을 신앙이라고 가지고 있다면 그건 어떻게 해석할 수 있겠습니까? 그리스도란 하나님의 의가 생명이 된 사람인데 그렇게 되지 못하면 사람의 존재 이유와 목적이 사라지는데 하나님을 믿는다는 사람들이 오히려 그럴 수 없다고 하니 그것이 유대인과 같은 것입니다.

그리스도가 되는 것은 예수님이 되는 것과는 다른 것입니다. 예수 그리스도를 나타난 육신으로만 보기 때문입니다. 예수님을 2,000년 전에 오신 그 개체로만 생각하기 때문에 그런 것입니다. 예수님을 그렇게 보는 이유는 사람들의 안목이 눈에 보이는 것을 본질로 보기 때문입니다. 그래서 예수님도 사람이 눈으로 볼 수 있는 상태였던 그 개체로서의 예수님만 그리스도라고 인정하기 때문입니다.

그리스도는 하나님의 아들입니다. 하나님의 아들은 하나님의 성품을 나타내는 존재입니다. 그것은 또한 하나님께서 사람을 만드신 목적이기도 합니다. 그러니 사람은 당연히 그 목적이 자기 존재 목적이 되어야 하는 것입니다. 다시 말해서 그리스도가 되어야 하는 것입니다. 그런데 사람들이 사람은 그리스도가 될 수 없다고 하고, 이 육신은 부정하니 이를 만회하기 위해서 하나님 앞에서 의로워지려면 예배에 오고, 십일조 하고, 성경보고, 기도하고 전도해야 한다고 하니 이것이 하나님과 원수인 생각입니다.

바울 사도는 이 원수 갚는 일을 하나님께 맡기라고 했습니다. 예수님도 검을 뽑아 든 베드로를 저지하셨습니다. 하나님과 원수가 된 생각은 하나님의 법과 의에 의하여 처리되어야 하는 것입니다. 예수님이 지신 십자가는 하나님의 아들을 죽이려는 자를 대하는 일반인이 가진 방식이 아닙니다. 즉 사람의 법으로 한다면, 사람들이 생각하는 방식으로 하나님과 원수가 된 자들을 대한다면 심판하고 정죄하는 것이지만 예수님이 보이신 하나님의 법은 오히려 그들의 의 앞에서 죄인이 되어 십자가를 지신 것입니다.

이는 원래 모든 사람들이 하나님과 원수가 된 생각 중에 있었기 때문입니다. 하나님께서 사람들이 생각하듯 하나님과 원수가 된 자들을 죽이고 심판하신 것이 아니라 오히려 예수님을 십자가에 달리게 하시므로 그들의 생각이 자신을 지으신 하나님과 다르다는 것을 스스로 깨달을 수 있도록 보게 하신 것입니다. 그 그리스도의 법으로 하나님과 원수가 되는 것에서 벗어나서 하나님과 원수가 된 것이 무엇인지를 아는 성도가 하나님과 원수가 된 생각을 가진 이들을 심판할 수는 없는 것이기 때문입니다.

그리스도의 성품을 가진 사람은 그저 예수님께서 보이신 것과 같이 하나님과 원수가 되는 생각을 가진 사람들을 심판할 것이 아니라, 그들의 마음을 하나님께 맡기고 자신은 예수님과 같이 십자가를 지는 삶을 사는 것에만 충실하면 됩니다. 그러면 아마 하나님과 원수가 된 생각을 가진 이들이 사로잡아서 죄인으로 만들 것입니다. 그러하더라도 그 길을 가는 것이 예수님의 십자가를 지고 따라가는 것이고, 하나님과 원수가 된 사람들을 하나님께 맡기는 것입니다.

But loving the enemy is a difficult word. The dimension is different. But this is also the same. But those who are enemies of God are paradoxically the object to receive the Gospel and receive salvation through Jesus.

Therefore, if a person lives as the life of Christ, he takes his cross and follows Jesus, and follows Jesus. He is a sinner in the sight of God and those who have thought to be enemies. It is because we find God's character. This is Jesus' crucifixion and loving the enemy.

As I said before, the enemy that the Bible speaks is the one who has an idea that contradicts God's righteousness and will. God said that He made man and was very good at seeing, but it is also the idea that man is the enemy of God with his flesh being lacking, weak, and sinful. (Life is a sinner, because it has the thought of being enemy with God.) The weakness of life is not sin.

It is the cross that appears when one has different standards and thoughts about God and righteousness. So the cross is salvation. God and man (Jewish in Jesus) had different standards and thoughts to see Jesus, and when they faced each other, they needed a cross. The Jews needed a cross to execute Jesus, who insulted God, and God and Jesus needed a cross to love their enemies.

It is the same today. Today, people say 'no' if they say that a person can be a Christ. No, I can not. Man is a created being to be a Christ, but if he can not be Christ, he does not even have a reason for existence, and if he has faith, how can he interpret it? Christ is the person whose righteousness is God's life. If it is not so, the reason and purpose of man disappear, but people who believe in God can not do it. It is like Jewish people.

Being Christ is different from being Jesus. This is because we see Jesus Christ only in the flesh. It is because we only think of Jesus as the object that came 2,000 years ago. The reason why I see Jesus like that is because people see their eyes as an essence. That is why Jesus recognizes only Jesus as the Christ, who was in a state where people can see with eyes.

Christ is the Son of God. The Son of God is a manifestation of God's character. It is also the purpose God has made of man. So, of course, a person must be the purpose of self-existence. In other words, we must be Christ. But people say that man can not be a Christ, and that this body is unclean. To be brought before God in order to make up for it, he must come to worship, pay tithing, see the Bible, pray and preach.

The apostle Paul said to give God the task of repaying this enemy. Jesus also stopped Peter, who had sword. The thoughts that become enemies with God are to be dealt with by God's law and righteousness. The cross that Jesus has is not the way the ordinary people treat those who want to kill the Son of God. In other words, if the law of man is to judge and condemn those who are enemies of God in the way that people think, but the law of God, which Jesus had, was a sinner and a crosser before them.

This is because all of the people were in the mind of enemies with God. God did not kill and judge those who were enemies, just as people think, but rather let them see Jesus so that they could realize that their thoughts were different from the God who made them, because He let Jesus run on the cross. It is because the saints who know what is the enemy of God and the enemies of God by the law of Christ can not judge those who have thought of God and enemies.

He who has the character of Christ is not just to judge those who have thought to be enemies with God, as Jesus has seen, but to be faithful to living a life of crucifixion like Jesus, leaving their hearts to God . Then those who have thought to be enemies with God will be captured and made sinners. Even so, going on that path follows the cross of Jesus and entrusts God with those who are enemies.
