(유다서 1:5-8) 꿈꾸는 사람들

우리의 신앙은 그야말로 보편적인 것입니다. 하나님께서 그 온전하심으로 온전한 사람을 만드시고 그 만든 사람이 하나님의 의를 나타내는 것에 있어 하나님께서 만드신 것 그 이상의 어떤 것도 요구하지 않으시는데, 정작 사람은 그것을 요구하므로 신앙이 어려운 것이 되었습니다. 그 요구하는 바는 다름이 아니라 늘 하나님께서 주신 육신의 능력 이상의 무언가를 할 때 좋은 신앙이라고 여기는 것입니다.

유다서를 처음 시작할 때에 율법을 지키려고 노력하다 예수님을 십자가에 못박은 유대인의 율법주의나 영지주의나 그 뿌리는 같다고 했습니다. 그것은 다름이 아니라 하나님께서 주신 이 육신의 삶에 대하여 부정하게 여기고 이 상태로는 안 된다고 여기는 것에서 시작한 것은 같기 때문입니다. 그러니까 복음이 일반적이지 않을 때 복음이 아닌 율법이 되고 이단이 되는 것이라는 의미입니다.

깊이 생각하지 않아도 완전하시고 온전하시며 전능하신 하나님께서 만족하신 사람의 모습이 어디가 부족할 수 있겠습니까? 사람을 부정하게 여기는 것은 사람에 대한 기준이 다르기 때문입니다. 사람들의 생각에 이 육신은 참 부족하고 연약하지만 하나님이 보실 때는 그것이 하나님의 성품을 나타내시겠다는 목적에 너무 합당하다고 생각하신다는 것입니다. 인간이 가진 본성들도 사람들은 악하게 보지만 하나님께서는 그 본성들이 역시 하나님께서 사람을 만드신 목적에 너무 합당하다는 것입니다.

이로 볼 때 사람이 사람을 부정하게 여기는 것은 사람에 대한 기준이 하나님과 다르기 때문입니다. 이것에 대하여 창세기에서 말하기를 ‘사람이 하나님과 같이 되려고 선악과를 먹은 것’이라고 하고 있습니다. 하나님께서 만드신 사람에 대하여 사람이 하나님과 같이 판단하는 자리에 갔다는 것입니다. 그래서 하나님께서는 아담에게 “네가 어디에 있느냐?”라고 물으신 것입니다.

성경은 이와 같이 사람이 하나님께서 사람에게 목적하신 사람의 정체성 이상을 기대하고 요구하고 바라고 꿈꾸며 노력하는 모든 것을 다 <자리에서 떠난 것> 곧 <죄>라고 말씀하시는 것입니다. 그러니까 죄라는 것이 다른 것이 아니라 사람이 자기 정체성을 벗어나서 자신이 만들지도 않은 사람에 대하여 자기 기준으로 꿈꾸는 자리로 가 버린 것입니다. 자기 자신도 어떻게 하지 못하면서 하나님께서 만든 사람에 대하여 맘대로 기준을 가지는 것입니다.

유다 사도는 이런 생각을 꿈꾸는 자들이라고 말씀하고 있습니다. 이 꿈꾸는 것에 대하여 영어 성경에서는 ‘filthy dream’이라고 하고 있습니다. ‘아주 더러운 꿈’이라는 의미입니다. 물론 이것이 더럽다고 하는 것은 하나님의 마음과 기준으로 볼 때 그렇다는 것입니다. 사람들은 사람의 정체성 이상으로 가기 위하여 노력하는 것을 꿈꾸는 것은 ‘이상’이라고 말하며 찬양합니다. 하지만 그것은 다 동성애와 같이 다른 색을 좇는 것이라는 것을 유다 사도가 말씀하고 있는 것입니다.

그 유다 사도의 말씀이 오늘 우리에게 성경을 남아서 읽혀지고 있다는 것은 오늘도 하나님께서 정한 사람의 자리를 떠나고자 하는 그런 더러운 꿈을 꾸는 사람들이 있다는 것입니다. 요한복음 끝에 그리스도의 일을 기록하기에는 이 세상이라도 모자란다고 하셨는데 지금 읽을 이유가 없는 성경을 지금까지 두셨을 리는 없는 것입니다. 그러니까 지금도 그 꿈을 꾸는 사람들이 많다는 것입니다.

어쩌면 오늘날 이때까지 우리가 교회에서 배운 것이 다 그것일지 모릅니다. 하나님께 기도해서 자기 마음 안에 있는 본성을 이기려고 기도해 왔습니다. 화내는 본성을 없애 달라고 하나님께 기도하고, 성욕을 억제해 달라고 기도해왔고, 욕심을 없게 해 달라고 기도해 왔습니다. 하지만 아이러니하게도 그 모든 것은 다 하나님께서 만드시고 사람 안에 두신 것입니다.

그런 모든 것은 다 하나님의 본성이기도 합니다. 하나님께서는 끊임없이 자기 아들들이 나오기를 바라시며, 반대로 하나님의 의를 행하지 않는 일에 엄청난 화를 내시며, 사람이 하나님을 잘 믿기를 바라시는 욕심이 한이 없으신 분입니다. 그렇다는 것은 그런 모든 본성은 ‘그 본성이 어떻게 무엇을 위하여 표현되느냐’의 문제이지 그 본성 자체의 문제가 아니라는 것입니다.

성욕이 없다면 결혼이 무의미하고, 화내는 일이나 욕심이 없다면 복음이 어떻게 전해지며 유다 사도가 경계하는 것과 같은 일 앞에서 어떻게 훈계하겠습니까? 그러므로 우리 안에 있는 모든 본성은 다 온전한 것입니다. 사람들이 사람이 존재하는 목적을 알지 못한 체 자기가 가진 사람에 대한 더러운 끔을 이루려 자기 본성을 사용하기만 해 왔기 때문에 사람이 본성대로 사는 것이 악하고 추하게 보이는 것이지 본성 자체의 문제가 아닙니다. 

그리고 또 사람들이 하나님께서 사람을 만든 목적을 알지 못하고서 사람이 본성대로 사는 것을 보니 그것을 부정하게 여기는 것이지 하나님께서 주신 인생의 목적 안에서 보면 그것은 부정한 것이 아닙니다. 그러니까 한 마디로 하나님을 알지 못하고 사람을 보니 사람이 가진 본성도 억제하고 육신도 부정하게 여기면서 살려고 하는 것입니다. 

따라서 사람이 하나님께서 자신을 지으신 목적을 바로 알고 산다면 본성대로 살아도 아무 문제 없을 수밖에 없습니다. 자기가 가진 모든 본성을 하나님의 형상과 성품을 표현하는데 사용할 것이기 때문입니다. 사람들이 예수 믿으면 막 살아도 되냐고 반문하는 것은 한 번도 하나님의 의대로 살아보지 못했기 때문입니다. 그러니까 그런 생각을 하는 사람은 하나님을 믿는 사람들이 아닙니다. 단지 자기 기준으로 하나님을 보고 믿는 것일 뿐입니다. 그리고 그것이 바로 자기 자리를 떠난 것이고 더러운 꿈을 꾸는 자들인 것입니다.

(Jude 1: 5-8) Dreamers

Our faith is indeed universal. God made the whole man by his wholeness, and he did not ask for anything more than God made in representing God's righteousness. It is not a different thing to ask, but a good faith when you do something more than the power of the flesh that God has always given you.

When I first started Jewish, I tried to keep the law. I said that the Jewish legalism or Gnosticism and the roots of Jesus who crucified Jesus were the same. It is not because it is the same, but because it is the same that we start to think that God is wrong about this fleshly life and that it is not in this state. It means that when the gospel is not common, it becomes a law and a heresy, not a gospel.

What is lacking in the image of a man who is perfect, perfect, and satisfied with the Almighty God even though he does not think deeply? It is because people have different standards. In the minds of men, this body is very scarce and fragile, but when God sees it, he thinks it is too appropriate for the purpose of manifesting God's character. Man's natures are evil as well, but God's nature is also worthy of God's purpose for man.

In this sense, it is because the standard of man is different from God in that he denies man. In Genesis it is said that "man has eaten the good and the bad to be like God." It means that God went to a place where people judge like God. So God asked Adam, "Where are you?"

The Bible tells us that a man expects, requests, hopes, dreams, and strives for more than the identity of the person God intended for man. So sin is not something else, but a person has escaped from his identity and has gone to a place of his dreams based on his own standards. You can not do yourself, but you are free to do what God has created.

The apostle of Judah says that these dreams are dreamers. This dream is called 'filthy dream' in the English Bible. It means 'very dirty dream'. This, of course, is dirty when viewed in terms of God's heart and standards. People praise, saying that dreaming of trying to go beyond a person's identity is 'ideal'. But it is said by the Jewish apostles that it is all about pursuing other colors, like homosexuality.

The words of the apostle Judas say that today the Bible remains to be read to us, and that there are those who have such filthy dreams that they would like to leave God's appointed position. At the end of John's Gospel he said that the world was not enough to record the work of Christ, but he has no place in the Bible that has no reason to read. So, there are many people who still dream about it.

Maybe it is all that we have learned in the church to this day. I have prayed to God to overcome the nature in his heart. I have prayed to God to get rid of the angry nature, prayed for sexual desire, and prayed for no greed. Ironically, however, everything is made by God and placed in man.

All that is the nature of God. God constantly wants his sons to come out, on the contrary, he is angry with things that do not do righteousness of God, and has no desire for man to trust God. That is to say, all such natures are a matter of 'how the nature is expressed for what', not the nature itself.

If there is no sexuality, marriage is pointless, and if there is no anger or greed, how is the gospel communicated and how to discipline it in the presence of what the apostle Judah warns? Therefore, all the natures in us are complete. It is evil and ugliness that people live according to their nature because they have only used their own nature to accomplish the dirty cleansing of a person who does not know the purpose of existence of a person.

And when people see that God lives according to nature without knowing God's purpose of making man, it is unclean. It is not unclean in the purpose of God's life. In other words, we do not know God in a word, but we look at a person and try to control the nature of man and neglect the body.

Therefore, if a person knows God's purpose for his own life, he can live without any problems. Because he will use all his own nature to express God's image and character. It is because people have never lived in God's medical life to ask if they can live if they believe in Jesus. So, those who think like that are not people who believe in God. It is merely to see and believe in God on his own standards. And it is those who have left their place and are dirty dreamers.
