(유다서 1:11-16) 정욕대로 행하며 불만이 많은 사람

하나님께서 처음에 사람을 만드시고서 그 사람들을 두신 곳을 ‘에덴동산’이라고 하였습니다. 에덴이라는 말의 의미는 다름이 아닌 <만족>입니다. 그러면 만족이란 어떤 것이며, 어떤 상황인가? 사람이 하는 일이 그 뜻하는 바가 다 이루어지면 그것을 만족이라고 합니다. 무엇을 만드는 사람은 만들고자 한 대로 만들어지면 만족합니다. 기계도, 음식도, 문학 작품도. 따라서 만족이라는 것은 더 이상의 후속조치가 필요 없는 상태입니다. 

사람들이 종교적으로 율법을 지켜내려는 것은 하나님 앞에 선하고 의로운 일이 아니라는 것은 이 만족의 관점에서도 알 수 있습니다. 자기 존재의 정체성에 대하여 사람이 만족하고 있다면 뭔가 더 가지려 하거나 행위로 더 이루려고 하지 않을 것이기 때문입니다. 역설적으로 자꾸 뭔가를 해야 하나님 앞에 의로워지는 것이라고 여긴다는 것은 지금으로서는 안 된다고 생각하기 때문입니다. 그게 아니라면 그럴 이유가 없는 것입니다. 바로 그런 생각이 율법주의나 영지주의를 발생시키는 것입니다.

이 유다 사도의 말씀도 같은 맥락입니다. 유다 사도가 경계하고 있는 영지주의자들은 하나님이 주신 육신에 대한 만족이 없는 사람들입니다. 그리고 비단 영지주의자들 뿐 아니라 율법을 지켜서 의롭게 되려는 사람들도 같습니다. 하나님께서 주신 것에 만족하고 있다면 뭔가를 더 하려하거나 업적을 쌓거나 의로워지려고 무엇을 하는 것이 아니라, 주신 것을 누리고 나타내고 사용할 것이기 때문입니다. 인생을 하나님이 뜻하신 목적에 소비할 것이라는 것입니다.

그런데 사람들은 이러한 소비는 뒤로하고 이 육신에게 뭔가를 자꾸 채우려 합니다. 더 평안하길 원하고 더 가지기 원하고 육신으로 더 행하기 원한다는 것입니다. 이런 모든 경건을 가장한 행위들의 본질은 결국 불만이라 할 수 있는 것입니다. 만족한다면 뭐 추구할 것이 아니라 그것을 가지고 살아갈 것이며 누릴 것이기 때문입니다. 하나님이 주신 인생을 누리지 않고 하나님께 자꾸 뭔가를 달라고 하는 모든 이들은 만족이 아니라 불문이 가득한 인생이라는 것입니다.

사람들이 가진 이런 모든 불만은 정욕에서 나오는 것입니다. 육신의 정욕과 안목의 정욕과 이생의 자랑이라는 것은 결국 하나님이 주신 이 육신 가진 삶을 부족한 것으로 여기기 때문에 나오는 것들입니다. 사람이 가진 자기 의의 기준으로 볼 때 이 육신의 삶은 만족스럽지 못하기 때문에 율법의 행위를 지켜 채우거나 아니면 쓸모 없는 것으로 여겨 버리듯 하는 것들은 육신에 대한 기준이 하나님의 기준과 같지 않고 사람이 스스로 가진 기준에 있기 때문인 것입니다.

반복되는 이야기지만 성경에서 말씀하시고자 하는 것은 이 육신을 가진 삶에 대한 하나님과 사람의 견해가 다르다는 것입니다. 그렇기 때문에 하나님을 믿는다는 것은 하나님께서 가지신 육신 가진 이 인생에 대한 정의와 정체성과 의미와 목적을 인정하고 수용하며 순종하고 믿는다는 것입니다. 그래서 믿음은 수동적인 것입니다. 그것을 믿는다는 것은 곧 하나님께서 자신의 인생과 세상을 만드셨다는 것을 믿는 것입니다. 하나님께서 자신을 지으셨다는 것을 인정하지 않고 하나님이 가지신 의와 뜻을 어떻게 한 번 뿐인 자기 인생의 목적으로 삼을 수 있겠습니까?

반대로 사람이 자기가 마음대로 인생을 정의하고 또 그렇게 사람이 정의한 것에서 자기 삶의 의미와 정체성을 찾으려 합니다. 자식에게서 돈에서 명예에서 또 인생을 즐기는 것이라는 것과 같은 것에 인생의 의미를 두고서 살아갑니다. 그리고 곧 그것은 자기의 기준이 됩니다. 문제는 그런 것을 추구하는 사람들은 그 누구 예외 없이 그 바라는 것이 끝이 없다는 것입니다. 즉 만족이 없다는 것입니다. 그것이 바로 불만인 것입니다. 만족이 없는 것이 불만이지 뭐가 불만이겠습니까?

끊임없이 율법을 지켜 의로워지려는 사람들, 이 시대에는 성경을 문자 그대로 행위로 지켜서 천국에 가려는 사람들은 의에 대하여 불만이 많은 사람들입니다. 하나님의 의에 대한 만족이 있다면 더 의로워지려고 하지 않을 것입니다. 하나님의 의로 인하여 부족함이 없고 만족이 되는데 하나님 앞에서 의로워지려고 무슨 할 것이 남아 있겠습니까? 하나님을 믿으려면 적어도 그 정도는 되어야 믿는 것입니다.

영지주의도 다를 바 하나 없습니다. 하나님께서 주신 이 육신이 하나님이 보신 것과 같이 심히 좋다면 왜 버리겠습니까? 이 육신이 자기가 가진 정욕에서 비롯된 의에 기준에 미치지 못하니 ‘육신은 하나님의 의와 무관하다’고 하는 것이지, 이 육신이 하나님의 의를 나타내기에 부족함이 없다는 것을 아는데 이 육신의 의미를 그렇게 저버릴 리는 없는 것입니다. 

그러므로 그때나 지금이나 이 육신으로 뭔가 더 의로워지려는 모든 사람들은 불만이 가득한 사람들이고 정욕대로 행하는 사람들입니다. 그리고 궁극적으로는 에덴에서 쫓겨난 사람들의 실체입니다. 창세기에서 쫓겨난 아담의 모습이 바로 그들의 모습이라는 것입니다. 그런 사람들은 당연히 그렇게 바라는 천국에 갈 수 없습니다. 이 세상에서 하나님의 의에 만족함이 없었는데 죽어서 하나님의 의가 다스리는 나라에서 살 수는 없는 것입니다. 여기서나 죽어서나 어차피 하나님의 의는 같은데 죽는다고 갑자기 그 의에 대한 마음이 달라지는 것은 아닐 것이기 때문입니다.

성경이 말씀하시는 불만과 정욕은 멀리 있는 것이 아닙니다. 바로 우리 마음 안에 있는 나의 의의 기준에 있는 것입니다. 다른 것 볼 것 없습니다. 오늘 이 인생이 만족스럽습니까? 하나님께서 육신으로 인생을 주신 것이 감사합니까? 자신이 의롭다는 것이 믿어집니까? 이런 질문 앞에 부인하려 해도 부인할 수 없는 심령이 아니라면 모두 불만 가득한 인생이며 정욕대로 행하는 사람인 것입니다.

The words of this Judas Apostle are in the same context. The Gnosticists who are wary of the Judas Apostles are those who do not have the satisfaction of God's flesh. And so are the gnostic ones as well as those who want to be justified by keeping the law. If you are satisfied with what God has given you, you will enjoy, display, and use what you have given, not to do something, to build something, or to do justice. I will spend my life on the purpose God intended.

However, people are trying to keep this consumption behind and continue to fill this body with something. I want to be more peaceful, want to have more, and want to do more in the flesh. The essence of all these acts of reverence is what can be called dissatisfaction. If you are satisfied, you are not going to pursue it, but you will live and enjoy it. Everyone who does not enjoy God's life and asks God for something is not satisfied but full of life.

All these complaints that people have come from lust. The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of this life are the things that come out because they regard the life of this flesh, which God has given us, as scarce. According to the standard of self-righteousness of man, this life of the flesh is not satisfactory, so that the acts of the law are preserved or considered obsolete, are not the standards of God as the standards of God, It is because there is.

It is a recurring story, but what the Bible says is that God and man's views are different about life with this flesh. Therefore, believing in God means accepting, accepting, obeying, and believing in the definition, identity, meaning, and purpose of life that God's fleshly person has. So faith is passive. If we are content with God's righteousness, we will not be made righteous. What is left to do in the sight of God, that is not lacking and satisfying because of God's righteousness? To believe in God is to believe at least that much.

Gnosticism is no different. If this flesh that God has given is so good, as He has seen, why would He abandon it? This flesh does not conform to the standard of righteousness derived from the lust that it possesses. It means that the flesh is irrelevant to the righteousness of God, and I know that this flesh is not inadequate to show God's righteousness. There is no way to forsake it.

Therefore, all those who want to be more righteous then and now in this flesh are those who are full of discontent and those who do it according to the lust. And ultimately it is the reality of the people who are driven out of Eden. It is the appearance of Adam who was kicked out of Genesis. Such people can not go to heaven that they deserve. In this world, we can not live in a country where we are not satisfied with the righteousness of God and are dead and governed by God's righteousness. It is because I am dead here, but God 's righteousness is the same, but suddenly my heart is not changed.

The complaints and lusts that the Bible says are not far away. It is in the standards of my righteousness in our hearts. I can not see anything else. Is this life satisfying today? Do you appreciate God giving life in the flesh? Do you believe that you are righteous? If you are trying to deny the question before this question, you are a dissatisfied life and a man of lust, unless you can not deny it.
