빌립보서를 마칩니다.

빌립보서는 참 은혜로운 성경입니다. 전편에 흐르는 <기뻐하라>는 말씀이 그렇습니다. 또 바울사도의 다른 서신서에 많이 나오는 책망의 부분도 거의 없다시피 한 것도 그렇습니다. 물론 바울사도와 빌립보 성도들의 돈독함도 참 보기에 좋은 성경입니다. 그리고 무엇보다 이런 모든 것에 흐르는 것, 그리스도의 마음을 가진 사람이라는 것, 그 마음을 가졌기에 앞서 언급한 은혜로운 모든 것을 가능케 한다는 것이 그렇습니다.

빌립보서는 옥중서신입니다. 바울사도가 옥에 갇혀서 쓴 편지라는 것입니다. 옥에 갇힌 사람이 뭐 그리 기쁜 일이 있다고 자신은 물론 자신을 사랑하는 사람들에게까지 기뻐하라고 말했는지를 아는 것이 빌립보서를 바로 아는 것입니다. 그러니까 바울사도가 말하는 기뻐하라는 것은 육신의 어떠함과 상관이 있는 것이 아닙니다. 지금의 교인들처럼 억지로라도 기뻐하면 ‘좋은 일(육신의 좋은 일)’ 생긴다고 하는 것에 이 빌립보서를 인용하는 것은 빌립보서를 모르는 것이라는 것입니다.

바울사도가 말하는 기쁨은 그리스도의 마음에 뿌리를 두고 있습니다. 그리스도의 마음이 있으니 그것을 기뻐하라는 것입니다. 너희 속에 착한 일을 시작하신 이가 그리스도의 날(푯대)까지 이루실 것이라는 것이 기쁨의 뿌리라는 것입니다. 그리스도의 마음이 사람 안에 있다는 것은 인생의 목적과 의미가 분명한 삶이라는 것입니다. 인생의 목적이 분명한 사람이 바로 그리스도의 정체성을 가진 하나님의 아들이라고 성경은 말씀하기 때문입니다.

모든 성경이 그렇지만 하나님의 말씀은 육신에 관한 것이 아닙니다. 그러나 돌아보면 현실은 그렇지 않습니다. 사람들이 하나님께 기도하는 것이 어떤 것인지를 보면 압니다. 하나님의 일을 해야 하니, 세상에서 그리스도인으로 잘 살아야 하나님께 영광이 되니 하나님께서 우리를 예수 믿지 않는 사람보다 더 잘 살게 하시고, 하는 일도 더 잘되 게 해 달라고 기도합니다. 육신이 잘 되어야 하나님의 일이 잘 된다고 합니다. 하나님과 협상을 합니다. 거의 위협 수준입니다.

하지만 바울사도는 빌립보서 마지막에 복음을 전하는 일에 자기 형편은 부족함이 없다고 했습니다. 돈이 있어야 하나님의 일을 할 수 있다는 것이 아닙니다. 교회가 좋게 지어져야 하나님께 영광이 되고 세상 사람들이 교회에 다니고 싶어진다는 것이 아닙니다. 예수 믿는 사업가들이 성공하면 사람들이 더 많이 하나님을 믿을 것이라는 것이 아닙니다. 그렇게 되어야 기뻐할 수 있거나, 하나님의 일이 되거나, 복음이 전해진다는 것이 아니라는 것입니다.

빌립보서의 주제라고도 할 수 있는 기뻐하는 것은 그리스도의 마음을 가졌기에 기쁜 것입니다. 그리고 그 마음이 육신이 살 동안 표현되도록 자기 삶을 순종하는 것을 푯대로 또 그리스도의 날이라고 칭하여 그렇게 되기까지 사는 것이 하나님의 뜻이라는 것입니다. 그것은 하나님께서 우리 사람을 만드신 뜻이고 목적입니다.

많은 사람들이 하나님을 믿으면서도 인생의 어느 한 구석이 허전하고, 또 ‘내 신앙이 온전한가?’라는 의구심이 들기도 합니다. 어느 순간, 어떤 상황에서도 또 자신에게 어떤 일이 일어나거나 당하여도 자신이 하나님의 아들로서의 지위가 전혀 의심이 되지 않기는 어렵습니다. 이렇게 되는 방법은 오직 하나 밖에 없습니다. 하나님께서 자신을 만든 목적 안에서 사는 것, 그것뿐입니다.

그렇지 않고 ‘예수님 믿는 믿음이 약해지지 않도록 기도를 열심히 해야지’와 같은 마음을 가지고 있는 사람은 기도를 조금 안하게 되면 스스로 자신을 의심합니다. 그런 것은 모두 행위에 기반을 둔 신앙입니다. 교회에 가지 않으면 신앙이 약해진다는 것도 같은 것입니다. 십일조를 바로 하지 않으면 재산상에 손해를 입게 될 것이라는 것도 같은 것입니다. 그런 신앙인들이 억지로라도 기뻐하면 하나님께서 복을 주실 것이라고 하면서 일부러 웃는 연습을 합니다. 심지어 설교시간에 시키기도 합니다.

그러나 바울 사도의 권면은 그것이 아닙니다. “너희 안에 이 마음을 품으라 곧 그리스도 예수의 마음이니” 이것이 본질입니다. 그리스도의 마음이 있으면 기쁨이 있고 그것이 없으면 억지로 기뻐하려고 하는 사람이 될 것입니다. 그러므로 빌립보서 아니 어떤 성경을 대하더라도 먼저 하나님의 의가 나의 존재 목적이 되는 것이 가장 먼저 해야 할 일입니다. 

그것이 바로 우리 안에 시작하신 하나님의 착한 일이고, 그 의로 인하여 육신의 수명이 다하는 날까지 사는 것이 우리 삶의 푯대가 될 것이기 때문입니다. 그리고 그렇게 사는 것을 위하여 우리는 이미 풍족하게 다 가졌습니다. 이 육신이 그것을 위하여 지음 받아서 지으신 하나님의 보시기에 심히 좋은 것이기에 그렇고, 또 목적을 주신 이는 그 목적을 위하여 모든 것을 예비하셨기에 그렇고, 무엇보다 그의 능력이 그렇게 하시기에 부족함이 없는 여호와이시기에 그렇습니다.

The joy of the Apostle Paul is rooted in Christ's heart. We have the heart of Christ, so please rejoice. It is the root of joy that the one who has begun to do good in you will fulfill the day of Christ (the mark). When Christ's heart is in man, it is a life whose purpose and meaning is clear. This is because the Bible says that the person whose life purpose is clear is the Son of God with the identity of Christ.

We must do the work of God, and we must live well as Christians in the world, and we are glorified in God. God makes us live better than those who do not believe in Jesus. It is a pleasure to have the heart of Christ to be glad to be called the subject of Philippians. It is the will of God to live by faith in the obedience of his life so that his heart will be expressed during the flesh of the flesh. It is the meaning and purpose of God making our people.

Many people believe in God, and one corner of their lives is lost, and there is doubt that my faith is perfect. At any moment, under any circumstance, it is difficult for you to become a son of God without any doubt, even if something happens to you or is committed to you. There is only one way to do this. It is only that God lives in the purpose of making Himself.

Otherwise, a person who has the same mind as 'We must pray diligently so that faith in Jesus Christ will not weaken' doubts himself when he does not pray a little. It is all faith based on conduct. If you do not go to church, your faith will be weak. If you do not pay tithing rightly, you will also lose property. When such believers feel compelled to do so, they practice deliberately, saying that God will bless them. I even give it to the sermon.

But it is not the counsel of the apostle Paul. "Bear this heart in you, the heart of Christ Jesus." This is the essence. If there is a mind of Christ, there will be joy, and if it does not exist, it will be a force to rejoice. Therefore, the first thing to do is to have the righteousness of God as my purpose, not as a Philippian or any Bible.

That is the good work of God that has begun in us, and because of it, it will be the goal of our lives to live to the day when the life of the flesh is full. And we have already done enough to live that way. This flesh is very good for the sight of God made for it, and he has prepared all things for his purpose, and above all, because his power is not so short as to be so.
