사사를 세우신 하나님

사사기에는 13명의 사사에 대한 기록이 있습니다.(사사기 안에 있는 사사들만 보겠습니다.) 여기에는 우리가 잘 알고 있고 교회 학교에서 많이들은 기드온이나 삼손도 있고, 삼갈, 둘라, 입산과 같이 불과 한 두절에 간단하게 언급된  사사들도 있습니다. 그리고 어떤 사사들은 이스라엘이 범죄하고 그래서 어떤 이방민족이 침략을 해 오고 그래서 사사로 세워져서 이방민족을 물리치는 이야기가 다 구성된 사사도 있고, 단순하게 사사로만 있다가 죽었다는 것만 언급된 사사도 있습니다.

‘사사’라는 말은 ‘쇼페팀(םטפשׁ)’이라는 말로 ‘다스리다’, ‘통치하다’라는 의미를 가진 말이라고 합니다. 하나님께서 약속하신 땅에 들어간 이스라엘 백성에게 ‘다스리는 자’가 필요했다는 것입니다. 그것은 다스려야 할 사람이나 일이 있다는 것입니다. 하나님께서 약속한 사람의 자리에 이르렀는데 그 사람의 자리, 하나님께서 사람을 지으신 목적 안에서 사는 자리에 들어갔으면 다 된 것 같은데 그 안에 다스릴 것이 있더라는 것입니다. 그래서 하나님께서 사사를 세워서 다스렸다는 것입니다.

13명의 사사들 중에서 웃니엘, 에훗, 드보라, 기드온, 입다, 삼손 이렇게 6명의 사사들의 기록을 보면 ‘이스라엘 백성들이 하나님의 목적에서 악을 행하므로’라든가 아니면 ‘바알과 아세라를 섬김’과 같이 하나님을 진노케 하여 하나님께서 이방인들을 일으켜서 이스라엘을 침공하게 하고, 그렇게 되니 이스라엘의 백성들이 하나님께 간구하고 그래서 하나님께서 사사를 세웠습니다.(이렇듯 3단계의 구조가 다 있는 사사를 ‘대사사’라고 부르기도 합니다.)

이스라엘이 하나님 앞에서 악을 행했다고 했습니다. 그렇다면 우리는 하나님 앞에서 어떤 것이 악인지를 생각해 봐야 할 것입니다. 하나님과 사람이 생각하는 악은 차이가 있습니다. 하나님은 A를 악하다고 하지만 사람들은 선하다고 하고, 사람들은 B를 악하다고 하지만 하나님은 선하다고 한다는 것이 아닙니다. 

하나님께서는 하나님께서 의도한 것과 다른 정체성을 가진 상태로 행하는 모든 것을 악함이라고 하시나, 사람들은 정체성에 관계없이 단지 나타난 행위나 생각과 말을 보고 악하다고 합니다. 더욱이 사람들이 말하는 악함은 공통적으로 선하다고 공감하는 사람이 많은 것에 반하면 반할수록 더 큰 악이 됩니다. 즉 선과 악에 대한 판단에도 세상에서 가장 영향력 있는 가치기준의 하나인 ‘다수결’의 원칙을 기반으로 한다는 것입니다. 이 말은 선과 악이 다수결에 의하여 정해진다는 것이 아니라, 사람들이 생각하는 선과 악은 세상의 가치 기준에 기반을 두고 있다는 것입니다. 

하나님은 어떤 존재가 있다면 그 존재가 존재하는 목적이 있고, 그 목적대로 그 존재가 사용되고 살아가면 선하다고 여깁니다. 이는 사실 사람도 마찬가지입니다. 전쟁을 위하여 만들어진 무기는 전쟁에서 능력을 발휘하면 선한 것입니다. 적어도 전쟁이 필요하고 그 전쟁을 이기고자 하는 사람들에게는 그것이 선한 것입니다. 하지만 전쟁을 반대하거나 상대국가에서 보면 그 무기는 악한 것입니다. 정체성의 문제가 아니라 자기의 이익과 의를 기준으로 하는 것입니다. 이것이 바로 사람과 하나님이 생각하는 악의 차이입니다.

따라서 하나님께서 사사 시대에 이스라엘 백성들이 하나님께 악을 범하였다고 하신다는 것은 이스라엘 백성들이 그 정체성을 상실했다는 것입니다. 그들의 행위가 때로 이방 신을 섬기는 것은 다 하나님께서 그들에게 뜻하신 것 보다 자기들의 가치관을 더 좇았기 때문입니다. 바알과 아세라, 다곤(반인(伴人)반어(半漁))신을 섬긴다는 것은 그 신이 가진 의미가 자신들의 존재 목적이나 바람을 해결한다고 믿는다는 것이기 때문입니다. 즉 그 신의 정체성 안에(아래에) 자기 존재 정체성이 있다고 여기는 것입니다. 그것이 바로 신을 믿고 섬기는 것의 본질이기 때문입니다.

바로 이런 마음이 사사가 나타나야 하는 이유가 되는 것입니다. 사람이 스스로 자기의 의를 가지고 신앙과 믿음에 까지 자신이 의롭다 여기는 것을 추구하고 좇는 것, 그것이 바로 하나님 앞에서 행하는 악이라는 것입니다. 그리고 이것은 기독교 신앙, 즉 하나님을 믿는 믿음 안에서도 동일합니다. 사람은 그릇입니다. 담는 존재입니다. 그것은 하나님의 생각과 의와 뜻을 담을 때 믿음이 된다는 것입니다. 그런데 사람들은 하나님을 믿는 것조차 자신의 생각대로 믿고 있습니다.

성경을 연구할 때도 자신이 가진 안목과 가치관의 프레임을 좀처럼 벗어나지 못합니다. 마치 넓게 편 밀가루 반죽을 그대로 접어서 국수를 만들려고 하지 않고 자신이 만든 한 가닥 국수를 만드는 빵틀 같은 자기 기준으로 성경을 분해하고 채색해서 보려고 합니다. 철학자는 철학적으로 성경을 보려하고 과학자는 과학적으로 보려 합니다. 그러나 그것이 얼마나 하나님 앞에서 악한 일인지 모릅니다. 

철학이나 과학이나 다 하나님 안에서 나온 것입니다. 하나님의 뜻이 있어 사람과 세상이 나고, 그것이 어떤 의미인지 말씀하신 것이 성경인데, 그 성경을 성경 안에서 난 자들이 세상이 있고 나서 생긴 철학과 과학으로 분해하면 알 수 있다 여기고 도전하고 있는 것을 연구와 신앙으로 보는 오만함 가운데 있는 것입니다. 

그것이 하나님 앞에서 악하고 교만한 것이 아니면 무엇이 하나님께 악하고 교만한 것이겠습니까? 정말로 하나님께서 천지를 지으신 창조주로 믿는다면 그 창조 아래서 나온 학문으로 하나님을 이해하려고 하는 것이 어떻게 선한 것이 될 수 있겠습니까? 그것이 바로 악한 것입니다. 그래서 하나님께서 사사, 즉 그 생각을 다스리는 자를 세우시는 것입니다.

God has a purpose to exist if there is a being, and if the existence is used and live for that purpose, it is good. This is true of people. Weapons made for war are good if we exercise power in war. At least it is good for those who need war and want to win that war. But if you oppose the war or you see it in the other country, the weapon is evil. It is not based on identity but on the basis of self-interest and justice. This is the difference between man and God's evil.

Therefore, the fact that God inflicted wickedness on God in Judgment days means that the people of Israel have lost their identity. Their actions sometimes serve the Gentiles because they followed their values ​​more than God meant to them. Baal, Asherah, and Dagon (half-manned half-fish) serve God because they believe that the god's meaning is to solve their own purpose or wind. That is to say, in the identity of the god (below) there is a self-identity. That's because it is the essence of believing and serving God.

What is evil and proud to God, if it is not evil and arrogant before God? If we truly believe that God is the Creator of heaven and earth, how can it be good to try to understand God with the science that came from it? That is evil. That is why God sets up judges, who rule over them.
